We only had one evening meal in hotel during our... read more stay as we wanted to try Alnwick’s wide variety of restaurants. The meal we had didn’t disappoint. We selected from a wide variety of choices, choosing, belly pork and venison as our mains. Both meals were well presented, perfectly cooked and delicious. In addition to the evening meal we had breakfast in the hotel. The breakfast provided a wide variety of choices, with delicious pastries, cereals, fruit and a number of hot choices. I stuck with porridge each day, with fresh fruit and maple syrup, this set me up for the rest of the day.
Amongst many outstanding features of the hotel was the staff, who were extremely helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Special thanks to Lyn who was front of house at breakfast. Lyn was so welcoming and friendly, but she epitomised the ethos of the hotel.
We would highly recommend this hotel and we look forward to returning.

Gorgeous decor. Beautiful windows. (The tea/coffee tray also had fresh coffee and a cafetiere, with a jar of lovely cookies and some hand made chocolates.)
Loved the copper bath and was very impressed by the hair straighteners and curling wand in the wardrobe, very thoughtful!
Breakfast was excellent and the scallops and venison were a beautiful dinner.
The whole interior is gorgeous! Very blue and white. We can't wait to return and couldn't recommend it more.

We stayed in the Alnmouth room and were very happy with it. The linens were great. The bathroom shower was hot and the water pressure was strong. Breakfast was in a garden room and was delicious. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The Cooke jar was a real treat!

The staff at hotel were very helpful and friendly. We didn’t eat in hotel in the evening but the breakfast on both days was delicious with quality produce. We had a lovely weekend and will definitely be back.

The breakfast was delicious as was the evening menu. We sat out in the garden one evening which was lovely and relaxing. Location of the hotel is perfect, easy to walk into the town. We stayed in the Chapel Room which was exceptional, a real show stopper, and we loved every minute in there. Lots of quirky decor that pays respect to the history of the building. Thank you!
